Santa Clara, CA. – July 16, 2004 – MEDCONX has developed proprietary manufacturing techniques for the production of Smart Connectors™ that were originally developed and previously utilized in the mass production of PC boards for computer systems.
“One of the major advantages of these mass production techniques that we have exploited is the termination of fine wires. This is the most time consuming and costly production activity in the manufacturing of connectors and cables. Our fully integrated, proprietary techniques result in tremendous savings to OEM companies,” states Michael Viguerie, President and CEO.
Viguerie added, “The benefits of incorporating PC board type mass production and manufacturing techniques provides a proven, more cost-effective approach. These become virtually transparent as we build fully integrated miniature and micro scale chip modules that can be seamlessly embedded into the plugs of cable connectors. Eliminating the hand assembly of components significantly reduces assembly costs. Consequently our customers reap the benefits in reduced manufacturing costs and reach the market on shorter schedules.
With these novel assembly processes, time-consuming multiple fine wire terminations are automated. Our connector designs facilitate the manufacturing process to provide higher field reliability, verifiable quality, decreased production cycles, and increased output.” |
